Catherine M. Fisher (award-winning costumer) and Mike Schiffbauer (master prop maker and costumer) pick up where Cosplaying 101 left off. They will discuss advanced costuming techniques such as sculpting, mold making, resin casting, armor building and more. Join Catherine and Mike for this informative and fun-filled panel, moderated by Melissa Gene Meyer (assistant for the Comic-Con Masquerade). There will be a Q&A session during the second half of the panel.

Celebrity costume designers from Costume Designers Guild IATSE Local 892 dish the dirt on designing and bringing to fruition the costumes for today's hottest blockbusters. Featured panelists are Trish Summerville (Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Gary Jones (Oz, the Great and Powerful), Christine Bieslin-Clark (Ender's Game, TRON: Legacy), Isis Mussenden (Wolverine, Chronicles of Narnia), and Mayes Rubeo (WWZ, Avatar). Moderated by actor Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy).

Actress and entrepreneur Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and founder of Her Universe, the leading merchandise company for female sci-fi fans, is bringing together the decision makers in the genre fashion industry and the fans for an open discussion. This conversation is meant to be educational and informative, putting the executives and buyers in direct communication with the fans. Ashley will give fans a glimpse of how the retailers stay in tune with their customers and how they develop compelling designs. Audience members will be able to give their comments and recommendations.

Ballroom 20 becomes a showplace of spectacle as fabulous original and re-created costumes crafted by our talented attendees are showcased on stage before an audience of thousands, with impressive awards and cash prizes bestowed to those deemed most outstanding by our guest judges. Doors will open for audience seating at 7:45, but the line will start much earlier! Tickets will be required for seating and will be given out free to those lining up near Ballroom 20 beginning at noon on Saturday. Any remaining tickets will be available at the Masquerade Desk near Ballroom 20 after 4:00. The Masters of Ceremonies will once again be writers/artists and Girl Genius creators Phil Foglio and Kaja Foglio of Studio Foglio. Intermission entertainment will feature the Saber Guild performance group.
